DESCRIPTION:
Few words from the history of the building of the Hotel Cloister Inn. The name of the hotel originates from the history of the building. The Cloister Inn is located on the grounds of the medieval convent, founded in the middle ages by the Jesuits and occupied since 1856 by the Grey Sisters of St. Francis.
The cloister grounds are dominated by the Church of St. Bartholomew in Bartolomejska street, which is where the first piano concert in Prague by ingenious Beethowen took place. During the Communist regime the grounds were occupied by the Secret police .After the Velvet revolution in November 1989 the complex was returned to the Grey Sisters of St. Francis and has been carefully restored.
After the reconstruction, in which we had the priviledge of assisting, the Church was cannonizedand subsequently reopened on April 18, 1998.
Now the hotel offers standard class services and is a traditional and popular partner for leading British outbound agencies - British Airways Holidays, Thomas Cook and Sovereign Cities, and keeps moderate price policy for every one who wants to explore Prague in total.
